Unless I'm remembering wrong, the trees in the base are still the ones from summer and not the autumn ones so it should be before 5.1.

But yeah, I also don't want to believe that absolutely nothing has changed between RukaYuki after all that when they've been getting slow but steady development with every new chapter. Though Maeda suddenly making RukaMiya a thing without having Miya acknowledge Yukki's presence (the way Yuina/Sharo do) makes me little anxious if he's indeed committed to RukaYuki being canon.

Yuina and Sharo acknowledging Yukki as someone to be jealous about makes sense because they have been crushing on Ruka for a while and are aware of 31A's dynamics. Miya has absolutely zero interaction with 31A outside of that one time in chapter 3 where she followed them around and her bonding episodes with Ruka. Her main connection to Ruka was always through mutual adoraton for Yuina. So I think it is entirely plausible that she has no idea about RukaYukki... and RukaYukki in this event were basically the least flirty they have been in ages, so Miya had no chance to find out.

I don't think Maeda is entertaining RukaMiya as a serious option at all and in fact the event carefully makes it look like Ruka is not intentionally flirting with her and Miya is just so hyper gay that she feels seduced by Ruka just being nice.

My issue was entirely with how RukaYukki act like they did pre-5.1 with Yukki not caring about Ruka being close to someone else and completely coldly denying that her and Ruka have any kind of close relationship.

I think the most important fact from this event is that Miya went to an all-girls school. Of fucking course she has an Onee-sama thing going on with Yuina. She is yuri incarnate.

I can give it a half-pass for hiding too much about Sakiko because of the sequel like you mentioned, in fact other details too like what's the point of Mutsumi existing other than being bullied or why have two autist characters in the same show, why Soyo couldn't forgive her despite them trying to redeem her (at least partially)? It's all setup for the next show and I'm alright with that, at least it's something to look forward to.

I think the fact that so much of it is set up for the next show bothered me a lot more than I initially realized. Like I get it Bandori franchise and all, they've gotta keep people interested in the bands and what have you, but being kept in the dark about like literally everything regarding the original bands members was a little annoying. Like at least we did get the little reveal about Sakiko's home life at the end of episode 13 which at some point you just kinda start figuring it's probably something along those lines (gonna guess maybe her parents got divorced or something and/or they lost a ton of money because she initially lived in a huge ass house). Mutsumi though we get absolutely nothing.

Also no lie, I was telling a friend who had originally got me into playing Bandori years ago (I stopped playing a few years back) that Ave Mujica just feels like Roselia on steroids to me

All that said, I might give the Ave Mujica anime a watch next year because I am curious about this whole pivot to edgy band members they seem to be doing

I try to be open-minded and accepting of transgender people. That being said, like you, I'm not really into reading about transgender F/F relationships. Also, I'm not a fan of the trend where masculine lesbians transition to being transgender individuals.

But I'm curious, which books are you referring to? I agree that simply seeking out F/F content usually screens out most other types, however, it's generally not difficult to filter. The telltale signs are pretty obvious. Do you intentionally read material you know you won't like? Personally, I tend to steer clear of books I'm certain contain elements I dislike.

The last books I read were "Violet Moon," a werewolf story, and "Clematis and the Queen of the Void." They were both relatively new releases and were alright, nothing too extraordinary, but they didn't have any extremely obvious transgender or non-binary themes from what I recall.
