リリースパーティ。

前回のこれ、

からほぼ6ヶ月、またまた製品リリースパーティー。

前回と同じく、ピザパーティ。ケーキはDraeger'sだったけど、自分の食べたキーライムパイ、ライムが本物でなくプラスチックで、ガチッとかじってしまうw。

今日は80F近くまで気温が上がり、爽やか。にしてもプロダクトリードがベイエリアから東海岸（バーリントン）に移ってたの今まで知らずじまい。

今日の英語：level up

= レベルアップ。

この語、ずっと和製英語だと思ってきた。色々サーチしても日本語で出るのはそんなのが多い。こんなの、

さっそくこの言葉と、今回のテーマ　“level up” を使った例文を見てみましょう。

日本語の「レベルアップ」をそのまま英語にした例文

(1) 新年の抱負は、英語をレベルアップすることです。 My new year’s resolution is to level up my English skills. (2) ゴルフを上達したい。 I want to level up my golf.

日本語で「レベルアップ」は名詞としても動詞としても使われるので、それをそのまま英語に置き換えるとこのような文章になるのですが、実は英語としては正しくない使い方です。

はっきり「正しくない使い方」と書いてある。知らないと恥らしいｗ。でもこれ、この用法、動詞として使うんだよね。例えば今日IKEAで見たやつ。

ちゃんとある。ただ、1の使い方は「（周りと同じ様になるように）レベルアップする」ということらしい。でもIKEAの例はそうでもないと思うけど。2の意味は完全にゲーム用語、レベルが1つアップするの意。こっちは日本語から逆輸入らしい。

最近2次発酵長めにしてるけど（2.5時間程度）、結構いい感じ。

マンゴー対決。

先日仕入れたアルフォンソと、

近所のセールで1ドルであったシャンパンマンゴー対決。

どちらも手前がアルフォンソ。で、早速感想だけどやっぱりアルフォンソはアルフォンソの味であるｗ。でも缶詰よりもなんかパンチに欠ける、というか現地で食べたのより薄い？熟れが足りないのかそれとも現地のは完熟だからか。方やシャンパンマンゴーは本名Ataulfoという、メキシコ原産の品種らしいけど、これはこれで旨い。結局どっちも旨いｗ。

だけど5倍アルフォンソが旨いかと言われると🤔であることには違いない。

He began making a type of “bar cheese” using what was left after making butter.
