O' A.I.R. OPEN CALL
Open call for artists and theorists
O'A.I.R. is an international artist and theorist residency program based in Milan in the O' art association headquarters. It offers space to experiment, time for reflection, discussion and verify. These are fundamental factors in underlining creative process as the output of complex dynamics.
The residency program was developed by O' in partnership with Hotel Pupik – Austria and started in the spring of 2006. It offers three/four residencies per season (October - July). Each residency hosts 2/4 residents from different contexts and approaches, until now selected by invitation. The competition notice and the application guidelines have just been uploaded onto the website www.o-artoteca.org . The competition is international and the application has no deadlines.
The program offers lodging, a studio and it furnishes the artist with many different facilitie. Every resident individually develops his project and ideas, but the residency also solicits cooperation and dialogue between the artists, theorists and professionals in a complex multifaceted context.
During the artists' stay in Milan (from two week minimum to two months maximum), projects and processes are discussed, research and comparisons are developed and then shown to the public in the
final collective exhibition.
Cove Park's annual three-month residency for a professional UK or
international visual artist will run from 4 May - 31 July 2009. Supported by
the Scottish Arts Council, the artist will receive a fee of £5,200, a
research/materials allowance of £750, on-site accommodation and a private
studio.
Cove Park runs an annual programme of residencies for national and
international artists working in all art forms and is located on an
outstanding fifty-acre site on the west coast of Scotland (just one hour
from Glasgow).
In 2008 Cove Park's visual arts residents included:
Will Bradley, Luke Collins, Abraham Cruzvillegas, Kate Davis, Mark Gubb,
Graham Gussin, Anja Kirschner, Janice McNab, Duncan Marquiss and Olivia
Plender.
Deadline for applications:
Monday 26 January 2009

On behalf of the Gallery-Museum Lendava, we would like to attract your attention to our international summer art project:
LindArt International Fine Arts Colony - »co-operate« vol.IV
...a programme designed for artists (& art students) who are willing to take risk, experiment and move away from their habitual studio practice
With the aim of promoting sociability, aiding creativeness, confrontation and acceptability for otherness, and its motto of "co-operation" the platform of this residency was build upon a critical reflection about the nature and character of relations, connecting, and all sorts of collaborations within our modern society. Inspired by the modern technology they're becoming less and less personal in our opinion. That is why our scheme is to gather the selected artist into tandems or else 2 artists will work collectively on a prescribed theme during the residency.
*The project will close with an exhibition & a one-man show will be awarded
Despite its good intention the purpose of the project can be attained only by variety – broad heterogeneousness of cultural and/or artistic representatives within the group of participating artists, thus we would like to animate or attract artists from regions we regrettable lack applicants.
Therefore we will highly appreciate any transcription, multiplication, distribution, forwarding, etc. of this notice to those who might be interested to participate in our programme.
The Colony that is open to artists (under the age of 35) from all countries will take place at the castle of the town Lendava (Slovenia); its gallery space and print making studio,
from 7th to 17th of July 2010.
Detailed info on the structure of the Colony as well as instruction on how to apply can be found attached or on our web site http://www.gml.si/index.php?id=11
the closing date for application is 30th of April 2010
