That's right. It's comin' out July 7th on LP and digital things (and don't fret, because the LP comes with a free, high-quality-MP3 download of the album): the new album from MANNEQUIN MEN, LOSE YOUR ILLUSION, TOO. The band was just featured on 848 on the Chicago NPR affiliate, WBEZ. Check it out. And you can pre-order the LP from Insound and Amazon. If you're into ordering micro, though, we should have a pre-order up here soon with some fun stuff to send with it to boot.

MANNEQUIN MEN TAKE THE HANDLE FLEXIBLY

Do yourself a favor and get on over there right now to give it a virtual spin. MORE LIKE BREAK UP BREAK UP
May 15th is gonna be a sad day for us as one of our favorite bands, CHIN UP CHIN UP, will be calling it quits at the Empty Bottle right here in Chicago. Jeremy Bolen had this to say about it:

"I think I can speak for all of us when I say that we really had intentions to keep making music together for an infinite amount of time, but just as this band began in a natural way it is naturally coming to an end. Thank you to the hundreds of people who have helped us along the way, we have been truly lucky, and as clichι as it may sound, we could not have done any of this without you."

But don't fret too hard, because from the ashes of CUCU, rises VACATIONS, featuring Jeremy, Bobby Burg and Greg Sharp. We've got their debut 7" / digital EP in our store. Check out the track "Ewoks in Domes":

Buy it now.

MANNEQUIN MEN PUT A NEW ONE IN OUR PIPE
That's right. Chicago's own rock and roll saviors are going to do it again. This time you have no right to act surprised when it blows you minds. Due out June 9th, Mannequin Men will be hatching (or is it birthing?) a new love child entitled Lose Your Illusion, Too. Assuming you just can't wait any longer to hear some of the newness for yourself they are playing a smattering of shows just to tease you a little bit. Chicago gets theirs for free at the Cobra Lounge Feb 21st when the boys hang out with The New Bomb Turks. Stay tuned for details on the release and more shows.
