2022年10月13日

近年、本部御殿手古武術協会と類似の名称を名乗る団体が設立され活動をしておりますが、当協会とは全く関係ございませんのでご注意ください。

上原清吉第12代宗家が昭和45（1970）年に設立して以来、本部御殿手古武術協会が唯一の本部御殿手の統括組織です。

また本部御殿手古武術協会並びに日本空手道本部会の公認道場については、「公認道場について」を御覧ください。

2月3日（土）、日本古武道協会設立45周年記念式典・祝賀会に参加いたしました。また、翌4日（日）、第47回日本古武道演武大会（於日本武道館）にて、本部御殿手として出場演武いたしました。

On Saturday, February 3, we participated in the ceremony and celebration of the 45th anniversary of the establishment of the Japan Kobudo Association. On the following day, February 4 (Sun.), we participated in the 47th Japan Kobudo Demonstration (at the Nippon Budokan) as Motobu Udundī.

11月3日（金）、大阪府泉佐野市にて、「本部朝正宗家の白寿（数え99歳）の祝い」並びにコロナ禍のため中止となった「本部朝基生誕150周年」、「日本空手道本部会結成45周年」が開催されました。また、翌4日（土）、本部流の合同稽古が行われ、ナイハンチと十二本組手の講習が行われました。

On Friday, November 3, "Motobu Chōsei Sōke's 99th Anniversary Celebration" was held in Izumisano City, Osaka Prefecture. This banquet also marked the "150th Anniversary of Motobu Chōki's Birth" and the "45th Anniversary of the Formation of the Japan Karatedo Motobu-kai," both of which had been canceled due to the COVID-19 crisis. On the following day, Saturday, November 4, a joint training session of Motobu-ryū was held, with Naihanchi and the Twelve Kumite Drills lessons.

ウクライナ支部・武心館からのお便りをご紹介します。

ウクライナ、オデーサにある武心館は昨年来の戦争のため、現在活動を停止しています。幸いラヂシェブスキイ・エブゲン館長とその家族は無事ですが、生徒の中には戦争で命を落とした人もいるとのことです。

また、ベラルーシにある武心館道場では、セルゲイ・コブロフ館長の指導の下、本部流（本部拳法、本部御殿手）をはじめ、伝統的な柔術や居合道のクラスもあり、稽古は継続されているそうです。

Bushinkan Dojo in Odesa, Ukraine is currently inactive due to the war since last year. Fortunately, Director Evgeny Radishevsky and his family are safe, but unfortunately some of his students lost their lives in the war.

At Bushinkan Dojo in Belarus, under the guidance of Director Sergey Koblov, they are training in Motobu-ryū (Motobu Kenpō and Motobu Udundī), as well as traditional jujutsu and iaido classes.

7月24日、本部朝正宗家は98歳（数え年99）の誕生日を迎えました。23日（日）、大道館並びに来日中のカナダ無門館（ピーター・コボス師範）の門弟たちでお祝いいたしました。

On July 24, Motobu Chōsei Sōke celebrated his 98th birthday (99 in East Asian age calculation). On Sunday, July 23, he celebrated with his students from the Daidokan and the Canada Mumokan dojo (Shihan: Peter Kobos) who are currently in Japan.

カナダ支部・無門館道場からのお便りをご紹介します。

カナダ、エドモントンにある無門館道場のインストラクターは最近、不動産業界の女性たちからなるMontorio Homes Ltd.グループに女子護身術コースを指導しました。このコースは、特定の職場環境に合わせてカスタマイズすることも可能です。参加者全員が大変素晴らしい体験だったと言ってくれました！モントーリオ・ホームズさん、安全に対する信頼をいただき、ありがとうございました！

Mumonkan Dojo Motobu-Ryu

Instructors from our Mumonkan Dojo in Edmonton, Canada recently taught Women’s Self Defence course to Montorio Homes Ltd. group of realtor ladies in their show home! We can customize our courses to fit the needs of a specific workplace environment as per request. Everyone loved it and was telling us just how amazing the experience was! Last weekend a joint training session between Osaka's Daidōkan, Saitama's Shunpūkan, and Ryūbukan took place in Asaka City, Saitama Prefecture.

NHKの番組「明鏡止水」の「達人列伝」のコーナーで、本部朝基が紹介されました。本部朝正宗家、朝行次期宗家のインタビューも放映されました。

Motobu Chōki was introduced in the "Master Biographies" section of the NHK program "Meikyō Shisui." The program included interviews with Motobu Chōsei Sōke and Tomoyuki Chōki, the next Sōke.

11月18日から21日にかけて、カナダで本部流のセミナーが開催されました。無門館館長、ピーター・コボス師範主催のもと、日本から本部直樹師範が参加して本部拳法並びに本部御殿手の講習が行われました。

From November 18 to 21, a seminar on Motobu-ryū Karate was held in Canada organized by Shihan Peter Kobos, Director of the Mumonkan Dojo. Motobu Kenpō and Motobu Udundi techniques were taught by invited Shihan Motobu Naoki from Japan.

11月5日から一週間、コロンビア支部の乾坤館場、エンリケ・グティエレス館長と門下生たちが大阪を訪れ、本部朝行次期宗家指導のもと、本部御殿手と本部拳法を学びました。

For a week from November 5, Shihan Enrique Gutiérrez, Director of the Kenkokan Dojo in Colombia, and his students visited Osaka to learn Motobu Udundī and Motobu Kenpōō under the guidance of Motobu Tomoyuki, the next Sōke.

9月30日、本部御殿門中並びに本部流関係者が集う中、本部御殿墓の修復工事の最後として、宜野湾市博物館に保管されていた厨子甕をお墓に戻し、完成を祝う式典が開催されました。

On September 30, relatives of the Motobu family gathered to celebrate the completion of the final restoration of the Motobu Udun tomb by returning the urns that had been stored at the Ginowan City Museum to the tomb.

本部家の歴代墓である「本部御殿墓」がこのたび、沖縄県宜野湾市の史跡に指定されました。本部御殿墓は17世紀末頃建造の古式亀甲墓で、本部朝勇をはじめ本部御殿の歴代当主が眠る墓所です。

宜野湾にも王族の墓市史跡「本部御殿墓」尚質王６男の一族眠る（沖縄タイムス記事）。

We participated in the 42nd demonstration of Japan Kobudo held at the Nippon Budokan in Tokyo on February 3rd.

2月2日、東京で開催された日本古武道協会40周年記念式典に招待され出席してきました。高円宮妃殿下の御臨席を賜り、大変印象深い式典でした。

We participated in the 40th anniversary of Japan Kobudo Association held in Tokyo on February 2nd. Her Imperial Highness Princess Takamado graced the anniversary with her presence and it was an impressive ceremony.

Motobu-ryu demonstrated at the 7th Budo Demonstration for parents and children which was held at Itsukushima Shrine, Miyajima, Hiroshima on August 20th.

日本空手道本部会副会長並びに本部御殿手古武術協会理事・茂田光司師範が12月6日永眠致しました。ここに謹んでご報告申し上げます。なお、通夜・告別式共すでに執り行われましたこと、ご通知申し上げます。

We regretfully inform you that Shihan Shigeta Koji, a vice president of Nihon Karatedo Motobukai and a director of Motobu Udundi Kobujutsu Association, passed away on December 6th. The funeral was done yesterday. We would like to offer our deepest sympathy.
