架空の女の子の名前をアーティスト名にしたSerani Poji（セラニポージ） は、その成り立ちも異色ながら、不思議な世界観を貫いているアーティスト。
popで聴きやすいサウンドの裏で、歌詞は今まで誰も歌ったことのない摩訶不思議な世界。隠れてイケナイ物を育てている女の子や、マシュマロを愛しすぎた太ったプロ グラマーが出てくる様子は、レイトショーの映画を見ているようにマニアックです。

Serani Pojiの正体は、サウンドクリエーター、作文家でもあるササキトモコ。作詞作曲、そしてトータルプデュースをつとめます。

Serani Poji's true identity Tomoko Sasaki, a sound creator and writer. She writes the lyrics and produces the music.

実はSerani Pojiは2000年発売のドリームキャスト（セガ）用ゲーム「ルーマニア#203」が発端で誕生しました。

In fact, Serani Poji was born out of the game 'Roommania #203' for Dreamcast (Sega), released in 2000.

「ルーマニア#203」の原案は、当時セガ社員サウンドチームだったササキトモコが考えたもので、一人の若者の人生をプレイヤーが観察し、変えてゆくというゲームでした。主人公のネジタイヘイのキャラクター設定は「日本で一番平均的な若者」だったのですが、音楽の好みについては、平均からはずれ、流行に流されない自分の好きな音楽がある、という特徴をつけました。

The original idea for "Roommania #203" was conceived by Tomoko Sasaki, then a member of Sega's sound team, and involved the player observing and changing the life of a young man. The main character, Neji Taihei, is the 'most average young man in Japan,' but his taste in music is different from the average, and he has his own favorite music that is not influenced by trends.

そこでネジタイヘイのお気に入りのアーティストをSerani Pojiと決め、そこから「流行に流されない、知っていたらちょっと通と思われるアーティストSerani Poji」の方向性が練られていきました。Serani Pojiは、このゲームなしでは存在し得なかったアーティストなのです。

We decided that Serani Poji would be Neji Taihei's favorite artist. From there, the direction of "Serani Poji, an artist who would be considered a bit of a connoisseur if he knew what was going on," was formulated. Serani Poji is an artist who could not exist without this game.

また、現実世界と、ゲームの世界の架け橋として、Serani Pojiを現実世界で、ゲーム発売前にデビューさせておこうと企みました。これもネジタイヘイが本当に現実世界に生きているかもしれない、と思わせるための仕掛けのひとつだったのです。

Serani Pojiの曲はゲーム中、ネジタイヘイの部屋にあるCDプレイヤーやテレビから流れています。またシナリオのエンディング曲としても使われていて、シナリオ内容に関連した歌詞になっています。

Serani Poji's music is played throughout the game on the CD player in Neji Taihei's room and on the TV. It is also used as the ending song of the scenario, with lyrics related to the scenario content.

「ルーマニア#203」の時は「まなもぉん」をリリース。ゲームの続編「ニュールーマニアポロリ青春」の時は「ワンルームサバイバル」をリリース。その後はゲームなしでも「オチャメカン」「メリゴーラウンドジェイルハウス」をリリース。
