First try!キラキラ
I made this in September.

Not the best felted Tonberry in the world, but he does have a removable cloak.
I only stabbed myself with the needle once! ルンルン

It's been a very long time, hasn't it?

The last post I made was after my yearly adventure. I was lucky to be able to enjoy it fully.
Just before the trip, the home I've lived in for 15+ years was put up for sale and I had a great fear that my family would be forced to leave. Thankfully we were allowed to stay, however in the new year we started having problems when the new owner started to add another residence onto the land. He has been entering our backyard to do construction without informing us, cutting a part of the fence to do so, and it's been scaring me a great deal.

On top of that, my health has not been getting better and I've started having problems with exhaustion and pain in my legs.

Worst of all, my lizard Chompie fell ill in early March and had to be put to sleep.
I now don't have any family with me aside from my mum. I want to adopt another kitty soon, but the construction isn't making me feel safe about doing that.

I haven't planned this year's adventure yet, and I'm not sure I'll be able to have one at the moment...

But! I'm still alive, and I'm still fighting to get better.
I'm going to try to write up about my last adventure before I forget too much. I did very well this year!

I just hope all of this bad turns to good soon.

I need to catch up on my draft posts before I can write about my trip! namida*

In July I finally became brave enough to block some of my knitting projects into their proper shape. Since all of these are made from acrylic yarn, the heat would shape them permanently!
If I made a mistake during the process, or used the heat unevenly, that was it. You can't fix melted plastic! shock*
This is a haneri that I knitted the previous year. I used steam to even out the stitches snd make the fabric buttery soft. I hope to wear it in the cooler weather.
The pattern is just stockinette stitch with a garter stitch border.

This shawl was my first mystery knit-a-long, my first crescent shawl, and my first beaded project.
Blocking the shawl edge was a little tricky.

I has a lot of trouble getting the center point to sit right. Maybe I'll need to sew a weight onto it? hu-*

I made some progress on some knitting projects too!
I finally got to the final clue of this massive mystery shawl!

I started to make a sort of box hat using soft, fluffy yarn

I made really quick work on a winter shawl for mum niko*

And a cover for her power bank. Mum chose the yarn herself!

Finally, a hint of what I would be wearing to Sydney! po*
